In this challenge, we provide participants access to an API that enables developers to integrate open-source and open-weights LLMs into their apps. It runs on self-hosted GPU infrastructure, free from commercial cloud providers, ensuring privacy, ethical AI use, and sustainability.
Who can participate?
This challenge is exclusively for students enrolled in the Software Architecture course at the School of Computer Engineering, University of Oviedo. Only these students will gain access to the specialized resources provided for the competition.

What’s the challenge?
This year’s challenge focuses on Artificial Intelligence. Participants will design an architecture that interacts with an API to access a Large Language Model (LLM) hosted by us.

How to participate
Starting in April, a form will be available on this webpage for submissions. To participate, you’ll need to:

Provide your name and the names of your group members.

Enter your group’s name.

Share a public link to your GitHub repository containing the project.

Include a link to a YouTube demo of your project. Be creative, but ensure your demo clearly showcases the functionality, especially in case of issues during testing.
Submissions will close one week after final grades for the project are announced by your professors.

Note: The academic grade will not affect the challenge evaluation.
Evaluation criteria
The jury will consist of Arquisoft professors and empathy.ai employees. Projects will be judged based on:
Creativity
Technical solution
Effective use of AI
Quality of documentation
Video presentation
